Canterbury Festival

 Full details

Our mini-festival fundraiser returns this summer from 3 – 6 July with outdoor live music to soundtrack your sunset and walks exploring Canterbury’s stunning countryside.

The event begins with two circular walks exploring the rolling hills, orchards and woodland of Bishopsbourne and Denton, just a stone’s throw from the city centre

The gates of Barham Court’s stunning gardens open from 5-6 July with two concerts to celebrate the long summer evenings. On Saturday 5 July (5pm) The Orbi Playa Big Band take to the stage with instrumental and vocal favourites from the golden era of Big Band music alongside classics by Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Michael Buble and contemporary arrangements.

Then Kent favourites Gumboots Reggae bring Summer in Barham to a close on Sunday 6 July (5pm) performing all the classics including much-loved tracks by Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Desmond Dekker and Toots and The Maytals.

Performances at Barham Court are outdoors, so be sure to pack a picnic, blanket or camping chairs and an umbrella just in case. Raffles will be taking place on Saturday 5 July and Sunday 6 July with some fabulous prizes available – every ticket purchased will help to raise funds for the annual October Festival and charity’s year-round public engagement work.
