Literature Works and our partners are delighted to announce the call out for the Page of Plymouth writer-in-residence.  We are looking for a poet, writer, storyteller, spoken word artist, lyricist or playwright to play a central creative role in a unique project funded by a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.  Working in Plymouth with local people, the writer-in-residence will explore the stories and ordinary lives of people in late 16th-century Plymouth, focusing on a documented lost play, ‘Page of Plymouth’ by Ben Jonson and Thomas Dekker. 

The Page of Plymouth writer-in-residence will be contracted for a total of ten days residency activity from October 2025 to April 2026. The fee offered is £4,500, including travel and subsistence averaging £150 per day.
