We’re on the hunt for: novels, novellas and poetry collections.
Our focus is: literary fiction.
Here is a list of adjectives that define the writing we want to publish: intelligent, experimental, real, deep, alternative, fresh, brave, thought-provoking.
Here is a list of verbs that define what your writing should do: captivate, stimulate, disorientate, investigate, retaliate, dilate, radiate, resonate.
If your book is these things: send us an email with a short bio and brief summary of the work you are submitting, along with the opening ten pages and a full synopsis of your novel or novella.
For poetry submissions: send us 3-5 poems that best represent your collection.

Our current response time is: 3-4 months. We will do our due diligence to respond to every one of you in that time.
We are NOT interested in straight genre fiction: fantasy, horror sci-fi, crime or romance novels (genre fiction) so please don’t send us any. Though we will consider work containing cleverly placed elements of these genre, or especially intriguing instances of cross-genre fiction.

We’re on the prowl for: short stories, poetry and articles for our onsite blog, the Ink Sac.

We’re on the scour for: SQuID articles.
SQuID is our weekly opinions feature: Every week we want to publish one article from a guest writer.
The formula is simple: Statement, Quotation, Infer, Develop.
Logistics: no more than 500 words on any topic you feel strongly about or you consider interesting. Make a statement, support it with a quotation, and explain your thoughts and feelings. We like politics, topics related to writing, philosophy, nature, science, history, sociology, but will consider anything that’s well written, original and follows the SQuID formula.
Email subject: Your name, Ink Sac, title of your piece. Our current response time is: 8 weeks. We will do our due diligence to respond to every one of you in that time.

If your piece is offensive we’re not interested. Controversial is good, offensive is definitely not.
