Full details
The
Buckham Fine Arts Project announces its first literary call for
submissions to be considered for publication in an anthology centered on
the Horror genre. The publication and release event are scheduled for
October 25, 2025.
The top piece will receive an award of $25 and a complimentary copy of the publication
Deadline: May 31, 2025
$10 reading/submission fee per work.
A Horror Anthology
Please submit your fiction, nonfiction, and poems- the macabre, the eerie, and the strange- that will keep readers' feet and hands under the covers and away from the edge of the bed. Spin us a tale that will either reinvigorate a classic horror story or introduce a new fear into our lives. We are not looking for the grotesque or bloody ‘wet’ horror.
About the Juror, Leslie J Anderson:
Leslie J. Anderson is a speculative poetry and fiction writer whose writing has appeared globally. Her debut novel, The Unmothers, won the Ohio Art Council's Individual Excellence Award in Fiction and was named as one of New York Times top books of 2024. She lives in an old, white house beside a historical cemetery with two good dogs, a small son, and a Roomba.
Submission Guidelines:
Please direct questions to Roy Richard at rrichard99@gmail.com, with the subject line "Horror Anthology."
Judging:
Judging will be completed by the Buckham Writers Group, with the final selection made by award-winning horror novelist and poet, Leslie J. Anderson.
