Every year writing, visual arts, and theatre prizes are awarded to the best works concerning the years’ theme which in 2025 is Fear. Open to all nationalities aged 18 or above at the time of entry.

The Alpine Fellowship Writing Prize 2025
All genres of writing are permitted, including fiction, non-fiction, and non-academic essays. 1,250 words max per entry. All entries must be written in English.

First place: £3,000
Second place: £1,000
Third place: £1,000

The Alpine Fellowship Poetry Prize 2025
You may submit one poem or a collection of poems as long as all the poems in the collection speak to the theme. Maximum of 500 words per entry.

First place: £3,000
Second place: £1,000
Third place: £1,000

The Alpine Fellowship Theatre Prize 2025
Plays must be longer than 30 minutes and must not have been professionally produced (this means a run of more than a week for which the audience must buy tickets, it does not include rehearsed readings or workshops.)

First place: £3,000
Second place: £1,000
Third place: £1,000

Deadline for all prizes is 1st April 2025 at 23:59 (UK time)
