About the competition

His recent work includes composing music for BAFTA nominated and Grierson Award winning film ‘Mighty Penguins’, writing a new play ‘The Climate Report’, and narrating the revival of Stan Tracey/Dylan Thomas’ ‘A Child’s Christmas in Wales: Jazz Suite’.

E. H. P. Barnard. “ E. H. P. Barnard was a close family and personal friend who was a kind and supportive presence while I was younger. A next door neighbour who would be with us weekly at church and join our family with her husband for Christmas and other celebrations. She was a liberal lady in the best way, always there when needed, without imposing on others. When she passed over, she left a collection of poems and memories written in to a notebook that I had given her as a birthday present. ” – Tom Neill.
