The Inaugural Patricia Eschen Prize for Poetry 2022

 Full details

The 2022 competition does not have a theme – poems can be on any subject that kindles your imagination, to a maximum line length of 40 lines for each poem.

The competition is open to international entries, entry is free and limited to one poem per individual. Poems must be written in the English language.

The Patricia Eschen Prize for Poetry is sponsored by the Dennis Myner Trust which supports Morrab Library in its charitable work, continuing the legacy of former member Dennis Myner who was devoted to our library. The name of this new poetry prize honours Dennis’ sister, Patricia Eschen.

You can read more about Dennis Myner and Patricia Eschen over on our blog.
