1. Submit your $3 entry fee by subscribing via Patreon, here. This subscription will cover you for all future contests, too. Don’t want to participate in our monthly writing contests? Cancel anytime with a click.

2. Send your very best short story to contests@raconteurmag.com

3. Make sure the subject of your email reads “Raconteur Contest” along with the Contest Name

4. Check this page or follow us on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook for updates.

How to WIN:

We’re constantly reading submissions and we’ve become quite good at it. Your submission will be judged using our Raconteur Literary Magazine metrics – a system of readings, ratings, and reviews used to select the stories we publish in print.

Contests run monthly and winners are announced on the last day of the month. Winners will be announced by email and on the Raconteur website.


Prize Pot:

1st prize: Cash Prize! ($200, 100, 50 - Varies by Month + Requirements)

2nd Prize: 1 year e-mag subscription

3rd Prize: 1 year e-mag subscription
