Prizes: £300, £100 and £50

  • Deadline for entries: 31st October, 2021
  • Length of story: max 3,000 words
  • Entries should be as a Word document.
  • All types of stories are welcome (excluding Children’s and Young Adult
    Fiction).
  • Entry Fee: £6.00 (£11 for 2 stories, £15 for 3 stories)
  • Optional critique: £14.00
Winning stories will be published on this website and, at a later date, will be included in a planned anthology.

Tim Symonds, the author of five published novels, was born in Hampstead, London. He writes in a converted oast house in ‘Conan Doyle country’, near Rudyard Kipling’s old home in East Sussex. He is the author of five Sherlock Holmes detective novels. His novel  “The Mystery of Einstein’s Daughter” has been described as one of the finest historical mystery
